I think life will go on quite much as it is now. Things will change a bit of course, mostly due to the green house effects etc. But I think life in itself will still exist, even after thousands of years. And form of life will be quite similar to what it is now.
I believe people will live much longer, let’s say about 20 -30 years longer than we do. So a human life will be divided into about 4 parts, as seasons. Each part will be about 30 years long. Childhood & teenage will be longer as all the other parts. This is because of the medical advancements. When it comes to nature and environment I believe it’ll be in a much better shape than now. Issues of environment will be extremely important to people because they’ve learnt from history and realized that they need clean and healthy surroundings. With the help of technical solutions their life is as comfortable as ours. There will be a huge environmental crisis after about 300 -500 years, somewhere in 2400, this will be the most critical moment in the history of earth (perhaps the universe). It’ll kill and destroy huge areas, for a quite long time, it’ll be a nightmare but it’ll pass and after that a lot is changed and focus will be put on life instead of wars etc.
There will be many wars, actually constantly, but after 2400 people seem to calm down. Power will be taken from The united states of America, that has acted emperor of the world for a long time. A new world will be formed, with many women as leaders. No specific country will take over ruling, because there is no need to rule anymore. Decisions are made peacefully and actions are taken without unnecessary planning and talks.
Traditional religions will not be as strong as today, national churches and priests etc wont have any power. Spirituality will be important to people, but very individual and not dependant on any traditional religious beliefs. History will be seen from a new angle and in a totally different light, it will be rewritten.
I think people in general will be much happier than we are now. They‘ll be calmer and more generous that we are (due to philosophy and spirituality and learning form history).
There will be differences between people but not alarming and life threatening. There will be no starvation and dangerous diseases as now.
People will be more intelligent and content with life, greed and evilness will therefore almost vanish. It’ll be a better world.
New family models are formed. Not everybody will have children, and very few will have more than 2 babies. The “new” families will consist of eg. friends living together. Marriage is not common anymore, and either is traditional partner hood. Having children wont be such a huge issue, because more people (=bigger families) will be there to help raising the child. Nobody wants a child because of egoistic reasons anymore, and there are few unwanted pregnancies. This probably sounds similar to the hippie culture in the 1970ies, and the idea is quite similar with the difference that men and women will care about birth control together.
There’ll be many different kinds of birth control solutions, most of them harmless and painless. There will still be different nations though nationalities will blend with each other.
Gene manipulation will be used only in times of emergencies.
